Parson Chair Slipcovers

2 Day Program - $ 398.00

 

This class is an introduction to professional slipcovers and is ideal for drapery fabricators who are considering adding slipcovers to their offerings. Students will complete a basic parson’s chair slipcover with a tailored and gathered skirt. Students may bring their own fabric and chair, or use fabric and chairs provided by the CHF Academy. Identical chair forms can be purchased so that completed projects can be showroom samples. See the day to day outline below:

Day 1:

  • School orientation
  • Discussion: Parson Chair Design
  • Fabric selection
  • Introduction to walking-foot machines
  • Welt
  • Begin pin fit


Day 2:

  • Complete pin fit and stitch
  • Portfolio photos
